Dial Terminating

With its own public switches and national interconnection with Belgacom, Scarlet can supply a very advantageous Dial Terminating service to Internet Service Providers (ISPs). This way an ISP can terminate its end-user dial-in traffic to his Internet servers when connected to the Scarlet network. The ISP does not have to invest in his own voice-network with the related interconnections and maintenance contracts. The incoming traffic can be fulfilled by Scarlet by using geographical numbers or service numbers.

This service is mainly of interest to ISPs with substantial incoming call volumes. Depending on the volumes, part of the interconnection turnover can be shared (the so-called kick-back fee) with the ISP.


The Dial Terminating service can also be easily combined with the Dial IP service in case of which Scarlet is responsible for the necessary modem infrastructure.
